TITLE OF PROJECT An investigation of the average household's energy usage and ways to decrease it.

PURPOSE OF RESEARCH Hypothesis / Engineering Goals Power plants in the future will be cheap and will not stop producing electricity, with no carbon footprint and/or toxins emitted. Electricity is running out, so we need to do research on the average energy consumptions so we can create an action plan which involves conserving electricity. RELEVANCY OF RESEARCH 1. Why is your research important? 2. How does it contribute to existing body of knowledge? 3. How does your research contribute to/impact the society or community?	1. Our research is important as it affects the way humans live as we require energy to live. 2. We will use the current knowledge to conclude and find out the best conservation of energy 3.By finding a better way of conserving energy, we will no longer need to worry about the current fuels used to produce energy now, as it will be gaurenteed to be “reneuable”
SCOPE OF RESEARCH Scope(target audience) Bounds	~Finding out which kind of conservation of electricity is the most beneficial to mankind in categories like efficiency, usefulness and costs. ~Finding out the estimated use of energy in the future ~Find out the current electricity usage in households ~Improvements to existing power conservation methods ~Our target audience are the people who are using electricity. ------------------------------------------------------------- ~Finding out for ourselves the fruits of our labour in the future. This is impossible as we cannot (currently) travel to the future to experience the next generations of power plants

METHODOLOGY Procedures Data Analysis We are going to search relevant sources on the Internet, then compile them into a Bibliography	1. Searh relevant information about the benefits of different types of next generation power plants and organize them into a table based on cost, output, environmental factors, space needed, and is useful for future reference and future comparisons. 2.Find out the estimated energy usage for the future, then estimate which type of power plant is the best by handing out surveys to homeowners to find out the current usage of electricity. 3.Interviewing the owners of these energy facilities to get a better idea of how next generation power plants generate electricity and their strengths and weakness. 4.Compile the information gathered from the surveys into pie charts in a Google Document so that comparisons can be made
